The landscape in the winery

HANDCRAFTED WINEMAKING

In October, with the first colds, the harvest comes. A thorough work, cared of to detail. Only the best grapes are selected and harvested by hand.

Inside the winery, the pass of time ferments the fruit, deposited in small tanks. The wine later matures in barrels and large ceramic amphorae.

A scene process has place, always depending on the time lapses of nature, marked by the gestures and manners that tradition has left us.

The ultimate goal is to give to the wine the nuances of the landscape, so it can fully express the origin.

Wines

THE GIFT OF THE FRESHNESS

VILLAGE WINES

Sierra de Toloño

Red

Intense colour with purple hues. The aromas of violet and Mediterranean herbs complement the delicate chocolate and toasted notes from the subtle maturation in oak.

An elegant mouth, of fresh notes combined with round and sweet tannins. In perfect balance with natural acidity, the finish is kind and persistent.

Sierra de Toloño

White

This Sierra de Toloño White wine reflects the fresh Viura grapes of each of the small plots on the foot of the mountain.

The primary aromas of white flowers give way to an elegant and complex background, with subtle toasted pastry notes. Its mouth is surrounding and silky, with powerful acidity that allows a lasting aftertaste.

Sierra de Toloño Raposo

Village Wine

People in Villabuena de Álava used to be called “Raposo”. This wine has the character and purity of this amazing area. Crunchy bramble and red cherry fruit segue into a palate that’s savoury, dense and serious with the potential to age.

La Dula

Garnachas de Altura

Atlantic wine, sharp and really floral. With an acidity that surprises and is in perfect balance with the smooth tannins. Pure freshness that moves you directly to the
foot of the Mountain. Stand-out wine of 2020 by Tim Atkins.

VINOS DE PARCELA

Camino de Santa Cruz

It’s a serious, sappy red with violet and wild thyme aromas, redcu¬rrant and pomegranate fruit and palate-cleansing acidity. Strong mineral accent and floral touch typical of the mediterranean herbs that surrounded the vineyard.

Nahikun

White

Elegant and complex nose, with delicate white flowers aromas. Honeyed and spicy, with notes of wild flowers, cinnamon and chalky freshness, very well balanced with
the soft and grassy mouth. It keeps the complexity from these minoritary varieties.

Nahikun

Tempranillo

The real taste of originary Tempranillo. Violet scented, with intensity from low yields, subtle oak and a backbone of tannin and acidity. A wine to age for long time in bottle.
